SSGC is Re-Opened for play on a Day by Day Status
SSGC is open once again on a day by day status, which means we could close at anytime due to winter conditions.  We have 3 Temporary Greens it will be walking only for the remainder of the season and course opening time will be 9:30 am daily.  Please continue to check our homepage for opening reports and always call before arrival to check course status, because as we all know, things can change rather quickly in New England forcing us to close once again. Furthermore, we will also be posting up-to-the-minute updates on our twitter & facebook pages, to help keep golfers well informed... So in the meantime, stay calm, stay focused, and pray for some more 'un-winterlike' weather!

Winter Golf is Really Cool
By no means are we trying to rush-in the Winter season... We just want to help all of those 'hardened' New England golfers prepare for a prolonged golf year! Instead of curling up in a ball and hiding from the bitter cold air & frozen soil, we at Sagamore choose to embrace the inevitable 'Old Man Winter' and his frosty antics. Think about it: each day we manage to get a late round of golf in, the shorter the winter becomes! If we can get the course open in December, January, or even February (even if it's on a limited basis), we just might instill a bit of hope for those of you who resist tucking your clubs away in a dark corner of the basement while winter envelopes the Seacoast. Sure, this may all sound a bit melodramatic, but if you haven't tried 'winter golf', you may want to, just to see how theraputic it can be for anyone with the winter duldrums.

One important reminder about 'Winter Golf' at Sagamore... Golf Car availability is very limited from December thru March, given the highly "delicate" ground conditions... so, if riding is 'a must' for you and your group, we encourage you to call ahead to check on their status 781-334-3151.

For those of you not quite brave enough to attempt 9 or 18-holes in the bitter cold, we have a toasty warm alternative for you... Our nationally acclaimed Sagamore Golf Center in North Hampton, New Hampshire (named 'One of North America's Top-100 Golf Ranges' seven of the last nine years now) will be open every day this winter (sorry, closed Christmas Day), offering golfers the warmest, dryest, 'coolest' outdoor golf option on NH's Seacoast.

We look forward to extending the 2011-2012 golf season as far as we can, and we hope to see you and your favorite 4-some on a mild, snowless day in January (fingers crossed!).
