Club Tournaments at SHGC

The Sagamore Cup / June 29th & 30th, 2024

This event is one of our most anticipated each year with huge bragging rights on the line! The Sagamore Cup showcases a 14-player team from each Sagamore course (Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club & Sagamore Spring Golf Club) competing against each other in a super-fun weekend event, much like the renowned 'Ryder Cup' matches! Below are the details:

• The 2024 Sagamore Cup matches are scheduled for Saturday, June 29th & Sunday, June 30th

• 6/29 matches will be hosted at Sagamore Spring Golf Club (Lynnfield, MA)

• 6/30 matches will be hosted at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club (North Hampton, NH)

• SHGC Qualifying notes (read carefully):

  • SHGC Qualifying - stay tuned for qualifying dates

  • Qualifying is open to all active Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club GHIN members

  • Players may attempt as many qualifying rounds as they choose (normal greenfees apply)

  • Qualifiers are responsible for booking their own tee-times

  • Qualifying rounds must be played with at least one other Qualifying participant

  • Players must turn in their signed and attested score card immediately after their round (to the Clubhouse staff)

  • 18-hole scores only will be accepted

  • SHGC's final Team of 14 players will consist of the 8 lowest gross qualifiers, followed by the 6 lowest net qualifiers

  • We'll be hosting a fun celebratory BBQ & Cup presentation following Sunday's (06/30) matches at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club

• Tournament Costs:

  • For each qualifying attempt players pay for greenfees only (there is no additional cost)

  • Those who make SHGC's final team of 14 will pay a $125 Tournament Fee (which covers 2-days of golf, golf car rental, Adidas team golf shirt & BBQ dinner)

The R.D. Luff Club Championship / August 3rd & 4th 2024

Our annual Club Championship is a fun, competitive event open to all active SHGC GHIN members!

• Qualifying details:

  • Stay tuned for qualifying dates

  • All Qualifiers must be active Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club GHIN members

  • Qualifying players may attempt as many qualifying rounds as they choose

  • Qualifying players are responsible for booking their own tee-times

  • Qualifying players must play their qualifying round with at least one other SHGC qualifying participant

  • Qualifying players must turn in their signed and attested score card immediately after their round (to our Clubhouse staff)

  • 18-hole scores only accepted

  • Rounds played outside of the qualifying period will not be accepted

• The Championship will feature a Men's Gross & Net Division, as well as a Ladies Net Division

  • MEN'S: The 8 low gross qualifiers will be selected first, followed by the 8 low net qualifiers (Note: 2023's Club Champions automatically qualify and will be the automatic #1 seed in each division)

  • LADIES': The number of Qualifying spots will be dependent upon the number of Qualifying participants

• Qualifying & Championship Costs:

  • Each Qualifying Attempt: Normal 18-hole greenfees apply for every attempt (no additional fees will apply)

  • Championship Rounds:

    • Championship greenfees on both August 3rd & 4th will be complimentary for those who qualify for the Championship divisions
