Club Tournaments at SSGC

Sagamore Spring Golf Club's annual 'Club Tournaments' are designed to be fun way for our own GHIN Handicap members to enjoy a little good-natured competition! SSGC has an extensive GHN membership, which means our tournaments typically showcase a variety of skill levels and strong participation. 2024 Club Tournament Schedule:

The Sagamore Cup / June 29th & 30th, 2024

This event is one of our most anticipated each year with huge bragging rights on the line! The Sagamore Cup showcases a 14-player team from each Sagamore course (Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club & Sagamore Spring Golf Club) competing against each other in a super-fun weekend event, much like the renowned 'Ryder Cup' matches! Below are the details:

• OPEN QUALIFYING runs from May 25th thru June 23rd (read qualifying notes below!)

• The 2024 Sagamore Cup matches are scheduled for Saturday, June 29th & Sunday, June 30th

• 6/29 matches will be hosted at Sagamore Spring Golf Club (Lynnfield, MA)

• 6/30 matches will be hosted at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club (North Hampton, NH)

• SSGC Qualifying notes (read carefully):

  • SSGC Qualifying - May 25th through June 23, 2024

  • Qualifying is open to all active Sagamore Spring Golf Club GHIN members

  • Players may attempt as many qualifying rounds as they choose

  • Qualifiers are responsible for booking their own tee-times

  • Qualifying rounds must be played with at least one other Qualifying participant

  • Players must turn in their signed and attested score card immediately after their round (to the Clubhouse staff)

  • 18-hole scores only will be accepted

  • SSGC's final Team of 14 players will consist of the 8 lowest gross qualifiers, followed by the 6 lowest net qualifiers

  • SHGC be hosting a fun celebratory BBQ & Cup presentation following Sunday's (06/30) matches at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club

• Tournament Costs: Those who make SSGC's final team of 14 will pay a $135 Tournament Fee (which covers 2-days of golf, golf car rental, Adidas team golf shirt & full BBQ dinner)

Sagamore Spring Golf Club 2024 Club Championship OPEN QUALIFYING:

JULY 1st THRU JULY 23rd, 2024 CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES: JULY 27th & JULY 28th, 2024

Sagamore Spring Golf Club’s annual Club Championship is a fun, competitive event open to ALL active SSGC GHIN Members

Qualifying Details:

• Open qualifying will take place from July 1st – July 23rd, 2024  

• Qualifying players must have an active Sagamore Spring handicap  

• Qualifying players may attempt as many qualifying rounds as they choose  

• Qualifying players must play their round(s) with at least one other SSGC qualifying player  

• Signed scorecards must be returned immediately following the round  

• Rounds played outside of the qualifying period will not be accepted

 • Discounted greens fees are available for qualifying rounds. Cart fees will not be discounted.

• WOMEN DO NOT NEED TO QUALIFY. A SIGN-UP SHEET IS INSIDE  FOR THOSE LOOKING TO PLAY.

Championship Weekend (7/27 – 7/28)

• $140 fee for the weekend. Includes all greens fees, cart fees, range, Food & Beverage, and the Club Championship gift.

• Two match play brackets (16 players each, gross & net)

• A consolation point quota round will take place on Sunday morning following the semi-final matches  

• Women will play two stroke-play rounds with a Gross & Net Champion

• Saturday: 1st round matches in the morning, 2nd round matches in the afternoon

• Sunday: Semi Final matches in the morning followed by consolation round with Final matches in the afternoon
